If your motorhome took a hit on the way through Las Vegas, you are dealing with a collision claim a long way from home. This guide covers what happens next: getting the coach off the road, how an out-of-state claim works with a local shop, what a realistic repair timeline looks like, and where to stay while the work is done.
Las Vegas sits at the crossroads of the major RV travel routes in the western United States, so a large share of the collision damage we repair belongs to owners who were only passing through. If that is you, the good news is that a coach damaged here can be repaired here, under your own policy, without hauling it home first.
On I-15 between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, and near US-95 to Reno. Easy access from Arizona, Utah, and California.
Las Vegas is near world-class RV destinations including Death Valley, Zion, Red Rock Canyon, and Lake Mead.
Get the coach and everyone in it safe and off the roadway if it can be moved. Photograph everything before anything moves if conditions allow: the damage itself, the whole coach from each corner, the other vehicle, and the roadway. Exchange insurance and contact information the same way you would in a car.
Do not authorize repairs or a teardown at the scene, from anyone who shows up. If the coach cannot be driven, we can arrange specialized heavy-duty RV towing to our facility. The full procedure, including the documentation that protects your claim, is covered in our RV insurance claims guide.
Your policy does not have to be written in Nevada for a Las Vegas shop to repair the coach. After you file, your insurer assigns an adjuster, who writes a first estimate from photos or a walk-around. That estimate is a starting point, not a ceiling. We write our own estimate from the coach itself, and where the two differ, the gap is resolved through documentation.
On a motorhome the difference is often real, because wall damage extends beyond what is visible from outside. When teardown reveals hidden damage, we document it and file a supplement so the claim grows to match the actual repair. You choose the shop regardless of where the policy originates; we document the damage in the formats adjusters need and explain model-specific parts and labor when questions come up.
For safety and insurance reasons you cannot stay in the coach during active repairs. Las Vegas has hotels, RV parks, and extended-stay options close to our facility, and we can recommend accommodations nearby.
Repair timelines depend on damage extent and parts availability. Minor collision repairs take 1-2 weeks; major structural repairs may take 4-8 weeks. We give you a written timeline after the initial assessment and keep you updated, which matters more when you are waiting on the coach from out of town. Our RV accident repair team handles the work; our insurance claims page covers how we work with adjusters.
Our technicians are trained and experienced in working with all major RV manufacturers. Whether you drive a luxury diesel pusher or a Class C, we have the expertise and parts connections to repair your specific brand and model.
